KRIS Freeman drove Burn n wood to victory in the 60mph expert class.

Edging out Essendon-based team Head Hunter by 43 seconds, Freeman said the result came down to a measured and complete performance.

‘‘Really, we pushed it hard the whole way. It was a good run and we’re very excited.’’

Freeman said his team, consisting of observer Wayne Marshall and skiers Ben Wheeler and James Marshall, had handled the conditions comfortably.

‘‘It was a really good run, there wasn’t too much traffic to deal with and it was a nice clean run.’’
